This should be just as infuriating to you as it is to me. Why are cosmetic companies allowed to get away with such sloppy control over their products? Why do these HUGE Multi Million dollar corporations, which spend millions on marketing every year, do practically nothing to ensure the safety of their products? It is extremely important to know that the Beauty/Cosmetic Industry is Self-Regulated. What this means is, they have all their own rules to follow and very few regulations to adhere to! This also means that they can make claims and put practically anything they want inside their products! If it weren't for Consumer Advocacy Organizations such as EWG and Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, amongst others, these companies would just keep continuing their low ethical practices. The problem with all of the lead and other dangerous chemicals found in most beauty products is that these chemicals build up in the body and store. Then, over time people get sicker and sicker. We literally become toxic! Please read this important article from Campaign For Safe Cosmetics, and write every cosmetic company you can and tell them you will no longer accept lead and other dangerous chemicals in their products! If we all speak up and stop tolerating this, the companies will start to change their greedy ways!

How Safe Are Our Skin Care Products?

Something many of us don't think too much about, is the fact that we are putting often hundreds of chemicals in our bodies each day unknowingly. We get many of those chemicals through our skin and the products we are putting on it. It is so important to think about what we put on our skin and hair everyday. The liver, our largest filtering organ, doesn't have a chance to filter chemicals out of our system when they are absorbed through the skin, making it even more dangerous to not pay attention to the ingredients in our skin care products. It isn't hard to switch to All Natural, Paraben Free, Chemical free products that are great quality, either. We personally only use 100% all Natural products for skin, hair, cleaning, teeth etc. I will be passing on some fabulous recommended companies in the next few months so that you can have a chance to check out some great products. Also, I have some AMAZING products that I personally use, lined up for the Giveaway's in the next few weeks! It's very exciting. Also, just because it says NATURAL, it doesn't mean that it's FREE of harmful chemicals! Many companies that tout "All Natural", or "Organic" still use chemicals, you have to know which ingredients to stay away from!
